Child Theme

The Comics child theme is the visual/site layer for serialized comic content. It contains comics homepage templates, entity page templates, blog pages, error pages, and modern metadata-driven assets.

01

Problem

Comic content needs a very different frontend language from hospitality, shelter, or professional portfolio pages. Series, episodes, characters, and story archives need a visual layer that can be expressive without becoming part of the addon.

02

Solution

The Comics child theme keeps site presentation in template packages while the Comics addon owns the serialized-content model. Its infrastructure became a useful base because it already had entity pages, archive/single shells, assets, and layout conventions.

Results

Comics helped prove the modern child-theme pattern outside business/service sites. It also became the practical starting point for the Showcase child theme.
